Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week

Posted On Monday November 18, 2019

Each year, Thames Valley District School Board participates in the provincial Bullying Awareness and Prevention campaign to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to end bullying and promote positive behaviours throughout our organization.

Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week runs from November 17 – 23, 2019. This year’s theme is "Say Something!"

A student's voice is powerful. By saying somethingstudents have the power to promote positive behaviours and to lead change. This year, we encourage our students to say something and exercise the power of self-advocacy and kindness.

In addition to reporting bullying or behaviours that impact school safety and climate, students are encouraged to identify statements that they, and others in their school, would benefit from hearing more often. It can be as simple as saying “Thank You”, “Together is better”, “Be brave”, or “Your kindness makes a difference in my day”.
