Parkview Public School
2026-2027 Safe and Inclusive School Plan
Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.
Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.
The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.
Key Priorities and Goals
Cultivating students who act responsibly and contribute positively to a respectful and inclusive school community.
We are doing this to ensure students are committed to growing their empathy and owning their actions.
Key Actions or Strategies
- The school will strive to provide clear and consistent expectations and common language to ensure students respect themselves, others and the school community.
- Staff will model strategies through community circles, calm and validating interactions, using random groupings, and ensuring students see themselves in the materials and lessons we create.
- Students will show this through common respectful language, leadership opportunities, and kind interactions with peers and teachers.
Community and Home Connections
- Ask your child how empathy has helped them to understand other students’ point of view.
- Try identifying things you have in common with others in your Parkview community at home with your child.
- Check out this Mental Health and Well Being for Families resource.
