Parkview Public School
2025-2026 Safe and Inclusive School Plan
Our school is committed to providing all students with a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment free from bullying and harassment that promotes respect, acceptance, and empathy.
Staff, students, parents and caregivers, and community partners will work together as a team to help make our school safe and welcoming for everyone.
The Safe and Inclusive School Plan highlights some of the key actions that our school community will put in place as part of our bullying prevention and intervention efforts.
Key Priorities and Goals
This year we are focusing on developing empathetic students in their behaviours and language within the Parkview community.
We are doing this to build respectful relationships and improve conflict resolution skills to include a more restorative approach between students.
Key Actions or Strategies
- Staff will model strategies through community circles, classroom teaching and utilizing school board and community resources.
- Students will use the information we have shared with them to improve their ability to resolve conflicts in a respectful and meaningful way
Community and Home Connections
- Ask your child how empathy has helped them to understand other students’ point of view.
- Try identifying things you have in common with others in your Parkview community at home with your child.
- Check out this Mental Health and Well Being for Families resource.
